There are quite a few problems with
America's public education system.
The problems range in areas from grade
school, jounior high school, secondary ecucation, and post secondary
education.
One of the main problems, as I see it
and have said many a time, is that the teachers unions have took
something that is supposed to be a boon for the children to a
flat-out money laundering situation. The unions give the dues to
politicians who, in a growing amount of situations, do not jive with
the attitudes of the rank-and-file members. The politicians will
recipricate with the funding going to failing public schools which
pay the teachers, who pay the dues, and elect the polticians whowill
keep the circle closed.
The colleges and universities are
printing presses, as well. They, in a vast majority of cases, get
aid from governments of all sorts and can raise their fees
indescriminantly. The problems comes when people figure out that most
of the colleges and universities have large endowments.
Don't get me started on Common Core.
When people like Governor Bobby Jindal
suggest solutions, they are always castigated by the progressives.
