One-Sided Dissent

Why is it, it seems, that dissent is OK but only on one side of the isle?

There is a famous quote by Hillary Clinton, who, at the time, was a senator frome New York, that said

I’m sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and disagree with this administration, somehow you’re not patriotic. We need to stand up and say we’re Americans, and we have the right to debate and disagree with any administration.

The problem with this quote is this, like most statements made by democrats it is only for the democrats.

If it's a republican, they are racists, sexists, bigots, and homophobes. They also hate children and old people.

All of these statements are wrong and should be treated as out-of-hand.
