What Opinion Makers?

words they think that what they say will be what the majority of Americans think.

Forty plus years ago, when cable was in its infancy and talk radio was still young, this was true because there were only a few, select places where one could go to get news and the opinions on current affairs that made the news. These places were the big three and, if you want to count them, PBS.

The news papers set the tone for what was on the TV news, which set the tone for what was going to be talked about on the shows like Meet The Press, Face the Nation, The McLaughlin Group, and This Week.

Things have changed and for the better.

The internet has given the ones who choose to use it correctly the ability to get the stories told in a impartial fashion. It also affords people the abilty to get news stories that the would not normally get.
