words they think that what they say
will be what the majority of Americans think.
Forty plus years ago, when cable was in
its infancy and talk radio was still young, this was true because
there were only a few, select places where one could go to get news
and the opinions on current affairs that made the news. These places
were the big three and, if you want to count them, PBS.
The news papers set the tone for what
was on the TV news, which set the tone for what was going to be
talked about on the shows like Meet The Press, Face the Nation, The
McLaughlin Group, and This Week.
Things have changed and for the better.
The internet has given the ones who
choose to use it correctly the ability to get the stories told in a
impartial fashion. It also affords people the abilty to get news
stories that the would not normally get.
