The Ultimate Con

Politics, for the longest time, has been the ultimate con.

This is according to a movie, which came out in 1992, called The Distinguished Gentleman. In this movie a con man gets elected congress strictly due to the fact that he has the same name as a recently deceased member of congress. It also details how the money can flow from big businesses and lobbyist to greedy establishment-type politicians.

It seems to me that this is where we are headed.

At one point, there was time where Rory Reid was being groomed to be the next senator from Nevada thus passing the seat down in his family.

In higher office there are the Clintons' and Bushes. Those people think that the office of the Presidency is theirs to change every four or eight years.

Then there are the politicians who get into office and don't go away until they literally die in whichever office they are in at the time.

I do not know if it works the same way in all of the local political offices, around the nation, like it does here. What I mean is that a man or woman gets elected to a particular office and then several generations down the line, the first man's or woman's family member is in the office.

When they get into office they get the ability to bend or flat out break the laws to make as much money that they can. The problem is that normal, non office-holder people can not access.

Then there are are the flat out criminals who keep getting elected and also keep getting put into jail.

Politics is definitely where the dirty money is.
